Curious about groups?
Why Groups?
My passion for group work began during an undergraduate internship where I witnessed the profound impact of supportive group environments. In these settings, individuals share at their comfort level, explore new perspectives, practice tools and strategies, and offer and receive feedback—all within a safe, confidential space. Often, participants find that they gain more from the collective wisdom of the group than they anticipated.
In today's digitally connected world, genuine human connection can still be elusive. Facing new challenges or evolving roles becomes even more daunting when one feels isolated or misunderstood. These groups provide a sanctuary to process experiences, learn, and grow alongside others who truly understand.
Just as a climber’s basecamp offers steady ground before the next ascent, these groups serve as a place to recalibrate, recharge, and prepare for the journey ahead.
How do these groups work?
Each group is actively facilitated by me—a licensed mental health professional and business owner with real-world leadership experience.
Group Structure: Enrollment is capped at 12 participants. Groups are closed, meaning we start and finish the journey together; new members cannot join mid-course.
Demographics: To foster deeper connections groups are often tailored to specific demographics, such as male business owners, young professionals, or individuals focusing on sobriety.
Session Components: While each group may vary slightly based on its focus, sessions typically include:
A physical exercise component
Mindfulness practice
Open discussion for peer connection
Skill-building on relevant topics
Participants are encouraged to share at their own pace and comfort level.
Where Do We Meet?
Sessions are held at Rhapsody Fitness, 700 King Street, Suite D. Rooted in bold expression and community, our shared passion for whole person wellness made this partnership a no brainer.
What Sets These Group Apart?
Unlike informal support groups, Rhapsody Basecamp offers professionally planned and facilitated sessions. Participants receive not only peer support but also the accountability, guidance, and coaching of a licensed therapist with years of experience in mental health, leadership, and business.
What If I Can’t Attend Every Session?
Life happens and I understand that. If you anticipate missing a session, we can arrange an individual meeting to cover the material and keep you aligned with the group. Please note that this accommodation is for planned absences and does not cover emergencies or no-shows.
